MOTHER THERESA GEORGE JOSEPH SHARON BOOKS Dear friends I am Vaishnavi of class IX.   During the lock down period I happened to be with my grandparents.   Believe me, I have a great time here.   We do have a good collection of books here. Searching for a book that can interest me, this book on one of the greatest souls ever to live on Earth reached my hands. The language of the book is as simple as the life lead by the Great Soul.   It really touched me.   I have heard of the saying, “charity begins from home”. After reading this book I became very sure of the saying.   Charity actually begins from home; from oneself.   Each one of us has to hear that “inner call” and respond to it. Hai Good evening During this lock down period, I am exploring a GK encyclopedia. Its a boosting quiz book for us to guess the answers from the hints given in the form of facts and pictures. Its really interesting,...... Meanwhile I am also doing a MOOCs  6 month course "Cancer fundamentals" offered by Indian Cancer Society", Delhi through SWAYAM platform initiated by MHRD, Govt. of India. In my message I had made it quite clear how reading can transform one's thoughts and reform man kind as a whole.                         SIDDHARTHA :   HERMAN HESSE The book I read once more these days was, "SIDDHARTHA' by Herman Hesse, the great German writer. Ever since the book came to my hands nearly quarter a century ago I might have gone through this book quite a number of times - reading it in full and in parts!  Every reading of it has been totally a different experience - a unique one at that.   The novel reflects Hesse's profound regard for Indian philosophy.  The novel talks about the journey of Siddhartha, the Hero,  and his deep desire to conquer ''suffering and fear'.  The road ahead was never easy and comfortable for him as he had taken the "The Road Not Taken" by many.  There were temptations around that could easily trap a man ordinary.  But then...
