THE IMMORTALS OF MELUHA Book review by KAVYA IX C

 THE IMMORTALS OF MELUHA

The immortals of Meluha a book by Amish Tripathi and the first book of the famous Shiva trilogy leaves the reader in deep thought as well as in a  cliffhanger. The book portrays the life of Shiva In a way no one could ever imagine. Shiva the Mahadev, fierce warrior consummate dancer and a charismatic leader although he has become a  mythical God the author tries to portrays him as a man of flesh and blood living in a world separated into two the Suryavanshis and the Chandravanshis his destiny brings him to the great Survayvanshi empire of Meluha, his throat turns blue as he drinks the Somras, he is believed to be the answer to all their miseries their saviour and their God the Neelkanth he the Tibetan Guna tribe leader turns to be the destroyer of evil. we can read in this book his journey to find the true evil the losses he suffered the regrets he had the friends he lost the love he found and discovering a whole new meaning to his life. But his perspective changes when he hears the other side of the story the book taught me the incredible values of truth honesty, bravery and the importance of perspective and how it can change one's views, ideas and beliefs deeply. The story continues in the next books the secrets of Nagas and the Oath of Vayuputras.
