5 AM Club BookK Review From MALAVIKA S, Class 10 A

THE 5 AM CLUB – by Robin Sharma This book is a very well-written motivating and inspiring book and one of my favorites. All the events are so sequentially described in this book. This book revolves around four characters, how their lives were, and how they changed when they joined the 5 am club. He has written what exactly needs to be done during 5 – 6 am, and before that, he has given so many reasons why one should wake up at 5 am. He has also given so many ways that one can follow to build it as a habit. He has referred to many scientific kinds of research and studies to prove his points, and these points will make us rethink the traditional processes which we common people follow. The author has also shown his worries about the cyber craving and how we are becoming slaves of this digital world day by day. He has shown that growth always happens when we don’t do anything. The author has explained that a human body needs 7.5 hours of sleep, and one should not compromise on that.

The Day of the Jackal REVIEW BY DEVIKA S CLASS 10 C

The Day of the Jackal (1971), a thriller novel by English   author Frederick Forsyth        The Day of the Jackal is split into three parts and an epilogue. The first part, “Anatomy of a Plot,” starts in 1962  in the aftermath of a failed attempt to kill de Gaulle made by Jean-Marie Bastien-Thiry. The attack is ostensibly motivated by de Gaulle’s decision to grant independence to the state of Algeria. After Bastien-Thiry’s arrest, the French government retaliates against the OAS in an underground skirmish, which it tries to keep under wraps.  Part 2, “Anatomy of a Manhunt,” concerns the French secret service’s attempt to find the Jackal while suppressing public knowledge about the ongoing campaign to assassinate de Gaulle. Lebel is given unlimited powers and resources with which to conduct his investigation. Someone suggests that he look at the records of the English Secret  Intelligence Service, since the assassin may be abroad. He finds a possible suspect named Charles Calthrop.  Mea

LITTLE WOMEN REVIEW BY ARUNIMA.V CLASS 10 C

LITTLE WOMEN  Novel by Louisa May Alcott “Margaret, the eldest of the four, was sixteen, and very pretty, being plump and fair, with large eyes, plenty of soft brown hair, a sweet mouth, and white hands, of which she was rather vain. Fifteen-year-old Jo was very tall, thin, and brown, and reminded one of a colt, for she never seemed to know what to do with her long limbs, which were very much in her way. She had a decided mouth, a comical nose, and sharp, gray eyes, which appeared to see everything, and were by turns fierce, funny, or thoughtful. Her long, thick hair was her one beauty, but it was usually bundled into a net, to be out of her way. Round shoulders had Jo, big hands and feet, a fly-away look to her clothes, and the uncomfortable appearance of a girl who was rapidly shooting up into a woman and didn't like it. Elizabeth, or Beth, as everyone called her, was a rosy, smooth-haired, bright-eyed girl of thirteen, with a shy manner, a timid voice, and a; peaceful expression

Charlie And the Chocolate Factory. Review By Ayush R, X A

Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Written by ROALD DAHL During the holidays, I used to enjoy reading books. One of my all-time favorites and the one I read the most during the vacation was “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” represents a fun children's novel with many modern fairytale characteristics. There are many surreal elements in this book and as in any other fairytale nobility and kindness are rewarded. In the center of the story are Charlie and 4 other kids who represent the worst human flaws. Veruca Salt is a spoiled rich girl whose parents make her every wish come true. August Gloop is an obese boy that eats everything and that almost costs him his life because he nearly drowned in chocolate. Mike is a boy who always watches TV. The complete opposite is Charlie whose family is barely making a living but they always manage to surprise him for his birthday. The moral of the story is that kindness always wins. The reader sees the main p

JUST SMILE AT YOUR PROBLEMS

JUST SMILE AT YOUR PROBLEMS  I have always thought, why does it always happen to me? Every time I face problems, I feel like I am the most unlucky person in the world  that I have to face all problems. But the thing I realised is that it is all because  of our state of mind, ie. , the way we are thinking moulds our feelings . Our mind has two sides. The one  side which tells good of us, makes us think good, which gives us good  decisions. On the other hand, we have another side that tells us negative thoughts . It is common to all people, but to realise, it takes time. We need to understand that we should always  inherit only what our good mind says, the thing it says will hard for you  to do, but it’s okay. Nothing comes for free, we need to do good work,  then only we will get good results. When someone scolds you, think that it is not only because of you,  sometimes they might have other reasons also. So if  someone talks to you in an unexpected way,  don’t feel sorry for yourself
